Alongside my artistic practice, I have collaborated with private clients, interior designers and architectural studios on commissioned pieces. This has included functional pieces such as rugs, headboards and window shutters, as well as wall-hanging tapestries.

Previous clients include Studio Reed, Studio Ashby, Todhunter Earle, Lind & Almond and Chan & Eayrs.

Commissions Timeline

Consultation

From the initial enquiry, I will get in touch to discuss your project. Depending on how much information has been provided, I may be able to give a price estimate and lead time straight away, or I will request more information.

We’ll then move on to discussing the size, rough design and colour palette of the piece. Once this is finalised, a provisional quote will be confirmed, and you will be invoiced for the design stage.

Design

In the design stage, the finer details will be confirmed. Depending on the complexity of the piece, I will produce 1-4 initial designs. Those designs can then be amended, finalised and reproduced as colour and texture renders for final sign-off.

I will also provide yarn samples. Woven samples can also be produced for an additional fee.

Once the design is confirmed, the final quote will be issued and you will be invoiced for the first part of the production stage.

Production

With the design completely finalised, I will order in materials and begin setting up the loom. Depending on the size and complexity of a piece, the production period can last from two weeks to four months.

Throughout the weaving process I will share updates on social media, so you can follow along with the piece being made.

Installation

Once your piece is complete, I will invoice you for the second part of the production stage, and will contact you arrange delivery and installation. For larger or more complex commissions, I offer an in-person delivery and installation service.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have a design or artwork that I would like rendered as a weaving. Do you take these kinds of commissions?

I am open to collaborations with other artists and designers, but these projects are assessed on a case-by-case basis. I typically only accept collaborations that align with my own artistic practice.

How much does a commission cost?

Prices are quoted on a case by case basis, depending on the size and complexity of the design.

The best way to get a quote is to send me the dimensions of the piece you would like to commission, along with an idea of the design.

What is the size range for your commissions?

Commission sizing can range from small pieces to very large. The maximum width I can weave on my loom is 1500mm and the maximum length is 10 metres. For wider or longer pieces, multiple panels can be sewn together.

What are the lead times for your commissions?

Lead times vary from project to project, and can range from four weeks to six months. I will confirm the lead time of your piece as part of the consultation process.
