I’ve never woven before. Are your workshops suitable for beginners? 

Absolutely! Many of my students are weaving for the first time in the workshop. Each class includes plenty of hands-on support and one-to-one guidance.


Where do your workshops take place? 

At present, all my workshops are hosted at Lois Gunn Studio & Shop in Woodbridge, Suffolk.

Will you be running workshops in London?

Since relocating to Suffolk in early 2025, I have focused on teaching in my local community. I do not currently have any plans to teach in London, but the best way to stay up-to-date is by signing up to my newsletter here.

How many people are there per class?

Each class is usually 6-8 people, so there is plenty of time for one-to-one teaching.

I need to cancel my workshop ticket. Do you offer refunds or transfers? 

If you need to cancel your workshop ticket or move onto another workshop, please let me know 30 days in advance of the workshop you have booked. I will be able to transfer you onto the workshop of your choice or issue a refund.

However, within 30 days of the workshop date, I am only able to offer refunds or transfers if someone else takes your workshop spot.

The class I wanted is sold out. Can I sign up to a waiting list?

If you are interested in being added to the waiting list please email me at info@christabelbalfour.com. In the event that someone has to drop out or move onto another class, I’ll send out an email to let you know that a spot has opened up. Tickets are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis.

I have additional access needs. Is your workshop suitable for me?

My workshops are unfortunately not suitable for everyone, but in the event that you do have additional access needs and require extra support, please get in touch and I’ll see what I can do!
