An in-depth online weaving course, showing you how to weave double weave on a simple loom to create complex effects.

It covers the fundamentals of double weave and how it can be applied to create larger pieces, join separate panels together and weave complex patterns.

We’ll also look at creating patterns with warp and weft, mastering correct weaving technique and finishing pieces so they’re ready to be used.

Along the way I’ll be sharing what I’ve learnt in almost 10 years of weaving professionally, helping you to weave beautiful and unique pieces for your home.

This course begins at 10am on Monday 12th January 2026.

Enrolment will close on January 11th 2026.

About The Weaving Kit

The weaving kit includes -

  • An upright loom

  • Two shuttles

  • One bobbin

  • One comb

  • One tapestry needle

  • x6 200g cones of Axminster rug yarn in the same colours used in the course

  • x2 cones of cotton yarn in the same colours used in the course

  • x1 cone of linen warp yarn

About The Loom

The loom is sturdily constructed from birch ply and hardwood dowels. It measures 112cm x 80cm and has a weaving area of 70cm x 80cm.

It is shipped flat-packed with assembly instructions and includes -

  • Birch ply frame parts

  • Two hardwood dowels

  • Two double-ended heddle rod holders

  • Two heddle rods

  • Two shed sticks

  • One base stick

  • Two clamps

  • One cone of cotton warp yarn for making heddles and adding base weaving

  • Screws and fixings for assembly


Shipping Info

Course kits will be shipped from December 8th onwards, with a break during Christmas.

If you are overseas, please order your kit sooner rather than later to ensure it arrives with you by January 12th.

The loom & kit are shipped in two separate parcels.

All shipping costs are inclusive of customs handling fees, sales taxes and tariffs, so you will not need to pay anything on arrival.
